This is the 8th tip in the “How to Play Roulette – 16 Spins to Win” eBook.

cross your fingers and hope for that little ball to hit your number.

But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t ways to balance the scales in your favor.

House Edge – or “The average percentage of a single bet a player is expected to lose over time.”

In roulette, the house will always have an edge over the players.

For example, if you place a straight up bet, and there are 36 slots on the wheel, the house edge would be 0%. This is because, 1 out of every 36 spins you should in theory win your money back.

Casino’s added the Zero (0) (and Double Zero (00) in America) slot in order to increase the house odds.

A European tables odds are 2.7% in favor of the house and an American tables odds are 5.25% in favor of the house.

Surrender Rule – some casinos offer an option called “surrender.” This basically means that any outside bet paying even money will only lose half of their bet, only when the ball lands on 0 or 00.

En Prison Rule – This rule is quite similar to the surrender rule above. The only difference is if you lose because the ball landed on a 0 or 00, your bet is “in prison” and it’s fate will be decided on the next spin. If you win the next spin, you keep your money and if you lose the next spin, you will lose your money.

Smart Roulette Strategy = Smart Roulette Bets – Knowledge is the best strategy in roulette. All single-number bets or 5-number bets are considered the worst bets in roulette. This is because of the large gap in the true odds and actual payout you’ll receive.

Higher risk equals higher reward though, so if you’re feeling lucky you should go for it. But remember that outside bets are the safest strategy.

Dealer Signature – This has not been proven as an actual strategy and has been debated for years. Some people believe that each Croupier has a “signature” way of picking up and spinning the ball. Since the force with which the ball is picked up and spun is the same every time, you could estimate the distance from the last hit and where the ball would be most likely to land next.

So get on out there and put your roulette strategy to the test while playing a real game!
